Huzzah!

Jeopardy called. I'm pretty jazzed. Going to Los Angeles. Gonna be on TV. I probably won't win any money, but it's nice to know that I did well on the test. Also, it's nice to know that apparently being a spaz can be a good thing sometimes.
If I win anything over a grand, I am so buying a truly awesome pair of shoes.

Keep your eyes peeled for weird stuff

There are always bona fide crazy people in Amsterdam, like this guy who seems to make a living standing on his head and setting himself on fire. Okay, breathing fire.
And then there are people who are committed to happily embodying Dutch stereotypes by living on canals and riding around on silly bikes.

Back in Holland

I took the kids to Amsterdam sans grandparents, hoping to show them the lazy, fun way to look at a city. Then we got pickpocketed of our only cash, and none of the ATMs would take my cards.
But it was still a pretty good time. We took some shots at the big iamsterdam art gezoffnik and splashed in the pond in front of the Rijksmuseum.

It's fun to eat and drink in Denmark

On my birthday we indulged in big tubs of beer. Oh, yeah, and good food. And check out the local bakery! Turns out in Denmark, Danishes are Vienna bread.
I don't know what those things with the gaping maws are. They look like a cross between ladybugs and hippos.
Try not to think about it too much.

An old theme resurfaces

For a bunch of mostly Irish people, we sure like pretending to be vikings.

Since Aislinn is on the cusp of teenagerness, she has little patience for being photographed. All she'd let me get of her was a reflection of her viking horns in the water.

Snaps from The Hague and Scheveningen

Despite what the map says, Scheveningen is GOOD.
It has a cool aquarium called Sea Life, with an arch-shaped aquarium where you can walk under sharks.
In the Hague, you can go to the Escher museum, where you will get in trouble if you forget to turn off your flash before you take a picture.
And, sometimes, Mom makes blueberry pie. Mmmmm.

More Spain

Pictures from the cathedral in Toledo.

First, the kids went to Spain

These are photos my dad took of Segovia.

I wasn't driving

And the kids were in Europe with my parents. And that's all I have to say about these pictures from the Bayou Boogaloo in Norfolk this summer.

Imagine witchy cackling

It's hard to describe just how funny the kids think this is. Just indulge them.
Yes, those are Bugles on their fingers.

Been back from vacation for a while

But I'm just getting around to posting.
These photos are from a June bike ride to Lake Maury.
